Happy #throwbackthursday everyone!
Disney on Ice can be a little pricey, but it's a nice way to keep the Disney magic alive at home! Lots of kids go all dressed up and are so excited to see their favorite characters performing live! It's a great introduction to ice skating, too!
Disney on Ice has put together a new FROZEN show but, alas, it's not coming to our local arena this year. It is coming to Ohio which is close enough for us to drive... but that's a hard sell to my husband with a Disney World trip coming up in March...
Still, the Frozen show looks A-MAZING! Check out the sneak peak below!
Oh, and PS, a little tip: try keeping all those light up things you get guilted into buying in a little bin somewhere so you can grab them when you go out to events like this and save yourself from spending yet MORE money... those Disney light-up ears were something like $19 in the parks in 2011, but we've gotten tons of use out of them on subsequent trips and at fireworks and night time shows and events like Disney on Ice. We just carry them in with us and avoid paying the steep, steep prices that they charge at the venue. The light-up-Mickey ears ceased lighting up at the local Fireworks this year so we might need to replace them on the next trip...
So, about 35 minutes after finishing this post I received an email this morning for tickets to Disney On Ice "Princesses and Heroes" which now features Anna & Elsa! And, in poking around the sight I found out that the "Frozen" on Ice show will be coming in 2015.... can you guess when?? THE WEEK AFTER WE GET BACK FROM DISNEY! Ugh! What bad timing!
If you want to see the "Frozen" mark October 14th down on your calendar as that's when they'll start the pre-sale of the tickets. And if you want to see "Princesses and Heroes" the tickets are on sale now! Like I said above, these are nice events for little kids, especially if you haven't/can't/won't get down to Disney this year.
