2013 Trip to Walt Disney World, Itinerary

Because I find myself referring back to "Our 2011 trip" or "Our 2013 trip", I wanted to share the itinerary with you so you can see what we were up to. And I suppose it will also act as a sort of table-of-contents for the reviews and stories about the activities we enjoyed on the trip.

Our 2013 trip we planned well in advance. We wanted to travel with my cousin's family, so in total we had a group of 9 and I was the primary trip coordinator: I gathered everyone's wish list, developed the itinerary, made all the reservations, etc. Because we had such a large group, we had a few choices for accommodations: to stay in 3 separate moderate resort rooms, or to book a larger suite. Considering the substantial cost of accommodations for a group that large, we decided to use this as an opportunity to buy into the Disney Vacation Club--- we used three years' worth of points to rent a 2-bedroom suite at Bay Lake Towers. Though I missed the familiarity of staying at Caribbean Beach, it was very nice to stay in a suite with the rest of the folks we were traveling with (instead of separate rooms). Because my cousins' kids and mine are at different ages, we knew we wouldn't be going through the parks together, so we made it a priority to have at least two meals a day together. So many meal reservations! This is where I earned by black-belt in making Advance Dining Reservations (you can read all my secrets here.) In total we had over 20 Table-Service reservations, which has given me a good base knowledge of the different dining options at Walt Disney World. In our upcoming trip we're trying to balance revisiting our favorite restaurants while trying a good portion of new ones!

The links below are to my own reviews of the restaurants / activities. As I add more I'll come back and update this post. :-)
